Whale & Wildlife Report: Day Saving Transients

A bit of fog started the day off a little unsure. The resident orcas had already been spotted north of the Fraser river, well out of our way. I avoided the fog and went north of the islands into flat beautiful water, but had no luck. It wasn’t until I had given up hope when another whale watching boat called on the radio, transients only 6 miles away. Immediately we turned and managed to catch a short, but really great show; just barely saving the day.
