After seeing a Gray whale on a private charter we did on Friday, we were excited to get into the weekend for our public tours, in hopes of seeing more whales. We didn’t find any Orca or Gray whales on Saturday or Sunday, we did find some active Minke whales at Salmon Bank (just off San Juan Island), as well as some Stellar sea lions, porpoises and lots of seals. We are getting reports of K pod (from our resident group of Orcas) coming back into the area, just in time for some school field trips we are doing this week.
