Today we saw the best whale show of the season! A group of transient Orcas passing through the islands were spotted between Lopez and Blakely Islands. For nearly an hour it was just us and them – no other boats in the area, as we watched them jump out of the water all around us. They were full of energy, and so active that our captain, who’s been driving boats for a long time, said it was one of the best sightings he’s seen. If you want to see whales this summer, there is no time better than the present!
