It was a little gray this morning, but things brightened up quickly as the clouds began to dissipate and the sun came out. It wasn’t too long before we found Orcas. Just about 30 minutes into the cruise J-pod was spotted near Viti Rocks on the west side of Lummi Island. Since we found them so early we were able to spend quite a while with them – nearly 1.5 hours. We waved goodbye and continued our cruise through the islands, where passengers enjoyed our delicious BBQ chicken lunch, before stopping in Friday Harbor for a sunny afternoon in town.
