We are excited to introduce a brand new cruise for 2014 – our La Conner / Deception Pass Lunch Cruise from Bellingham, WA. We’ll be going out six Saturdays during the months of June, July and August, departing Bellingham at 10:30 am.

This tour aboard the Salish Sea gives you a great opportunity to visit the unique waterfront town of La Conner, cruise through Deception Pass well known for it swift tidal flow, stunning scenery and the oft-photographed Deception Pass Bridge. The area is full of many species of birds and wildlife, which our captain and crew will talk about as we go.

You’ll depart Bellingham and cruise south to La Conner, tucked in between the Cascade mountain range to the east and the San Juan Islands to the west. As we cruise through scenic, protected waters the crew will serve up a hearty lasagna and Caesar salad lunch while searching for some of the many species of birds and wildlife that inhabit this fascinating ecosystem.

We’ll arrive in La Conner after lunch, at which point you’ll have two hours to explore this historic town located on the Swinomish Channel. Spend your time browsing unique shops, artist galleries and bookstores, or stop into a local microbrewery for a cold one. A popular Northwest destination, you’ll enjoy your time in this vibrant seaside artist enclave.

We depart La Conner and head back to Bellingham past the eastern San Juan Islands, once again on the lookout for wildlife enroute.
