On Saturday’s cruise there was a bit of fog, so we went straight over to Friday Harbor for our 2 hour shore visit. Afterwards, the fog had cleared, allowing us to have great views of two groups of Orca whales just west of San Juan Island – J-Pod and L-12’s. While it wasn’t a typical July day, it was great that the saying “the weather’s always better out in the islands” held true.
