Whales & Wildlife Report – 8/28 (Minke Whale)

The Orca whales were just a bit out of our range today, but we were fortunate enough to find a Minke whale just off the south end of San Juan Island. Overall it’s been a great day in the islands so far, with a bit of sun and calm waters.

Whales & Wildlife Report – 8/20 (Orca Whales – K-Pod)

Beautiful day in the San Juan Islands today, with Orcas spotted near Kellett Bluff at the north end of San Juan Island. K-pod, one of three resident pods of whales, was found under sunny skies.
