Just heard from our captain on today’s San Juan Adventure cruise – we saw Orca whales twice before our stop in Friday Harbor. The first group (J-Pod) was found near the US/Canada border, just north of Stuart Island. After watching them for a while we turned south for our shore stop in Friday Harbor, and found another group of 14 Orca whales (L-Pod). So two sightings in 4 hours – not too bad a day. This is our last week of daily cruises to the San Juan Islands – we’ll be running every day through Sunday, then just the last two Saturdays and Sundays of the month after that. Hope you’ll join us!
