It was a decent day out in the San Juans yesterday, mostly sunny with just a bit of breeze towards the end of the day visit the site. We had a beautiful cruise up in the north end of the island, taking in some of the exotic wildlife on Spieden Island. Then, as we prepared to head south towards Friday Harbor for our shore visit, we found a group of transient Orca whales – what a thrill! The weekend has been incredible – we’ve seen resident and transient Orca whales, Minke whales and even Humpbacks!
