San Juan Islands / Whale Watching Report – 5/14/2011

Today ended up being a great day in the San Juan Islands, with rain only coming for a short spell in the afternoon. The day started off with a group of Harbor Seals and Bald Eagles on Viti Rocks. Later, we found a fun group of Minke whales south of Lopez Island, several Dall’s porpoises in Rosario Strait and a group of 12-15 Stellar Sea Lions on Whale Rock. Passengers also enjoyed a beautiful day in Friday Harbor. We will be back out in the islands tomorrow (5/14), as well as Monday (5/15). If you’re looking for a fun day out on the water, join us on our San Juan Adventure cruise.
