A beautiful, sunny day in the San Juan Islands – we found members of L-Pod SW of San Juan Island, then on our way into Friday Harbor we watched a group of about 16 Steller sea lions on Whale Rocks.

The Orca whales were just a bit out of our range today, but we were fortunate enough to find a Minke whale just off the south end of San Juan Island. Overall it’s been a great day in the islands so far, with a bit of sun and calm waters.
